The Egnyte service does not work as advertised. The local cloud will not sync. The sync action sometimes locks up my computer. All this was supposed to save me time and remove the work load of having to program and maintain a server.
You have to wonder what the folks at CNET, PC Mag and Forbes were thinking when they reviewed this capability as ready for prime time.
And the claim of 24/7 customer support is even more frustrating. Someone answers the phone, but the defualt answer is “I have to consult with an engineer.” I have learned this response is false hope. Right now I’m exploring the procedure to download and save the files that have changed since I started the service and then I’m moving on to another solution. Save your time and money.
